They have a different shape to a standard (long and narrow with a zip running the full length of the Pod), which means they open up nice and wide so it’s easy to see what’s inside and grab out whatever you need during your busy day. While they can be used in the same way as our standard , the shape definitely makes them useful in other ways as well. The domed handle on the end is another handy feature.
One of the most popular uses of Pods has been as a swimming bag for little ones. They’re roomy enough to fit a kid-sized towel, swimwear and a swim nappy, plus there’s also likely to be space for a cloth nappy and a change of clothes. Pods are the perfect size for toddlers to carry around, so let them take their own bag and give yourself one less thing to carry around!
Pods have also been a with parents who have their babies in daycare – pack one up with nappies to last the day and pop inside a backpack or use the domed handle to attach it to a bag. In the same way, they’re perfect for day outings as well.
Keep a Pod packed with a or two, a change mat, some cloth wipes and a change of clothes so you can grab it as you’re heading out the door and be prepared for whatever might happen. I know from experience that even if you plan to only be out for an hour, babies and toddlers have a strange knack of knowing when you’re not prepared with a spare nappy or clean clothes…!
